Korra was founded in 1998 and is a company specializing in the research and development and manufacturing of bathroom products such as shower enclosures, integrated shower enclosures, bathtubs, jacuzzis, shower bases, shower panels, and bathroom cabinets. The company's headquarters is located in Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. It has long adhered to the product concept of "high technology, specialization and refinement" and the lean manufacturing route, providing OEM/ODM and its own brand solutions to the global market. Official information shows that Korra has a very strong export attribute towards overseas markets and has obtained multiple international certifications at the product and system levels.

 

1. Origin and Name Change: From "Langqin" to "Korra" (1998-2004)

In 1998, the predecessor of the enterprise, "Foshan Langqin Sanitary Ware Co., LTD.", was established, marking its entry into the sanitary ware manufacturing industry.


In 2001, "Foshan Gena Sanitary Ware Products Co., LTD." was registered, and a systematic introduction was made. The products passed certifications such as BS, CE, and ETL, and obtained the ISO9001:2000 quality management system certification, laying a compliance foundation for subsequent overseas expansion.


In 2003, we fully shifted to foreign trade business, joined the China Chamber of International Commerce and the foreign trade exhibition system, and established the development direction of "focusing on the international market".

 


In 2004, the company was relocated as a whole to the Shishan Science and Technology Industrial Park in Nanhai. The park layout and technological upgrading drove the enterprise into a "period of rapid development".

 

Since its launch in 1998, Korra has gone through a crucial three-step process from brand name change, quality system establishment to production base relocation, making dual preparations for capacity and compliance for its subsequent global expansion.
 

2.Capacity Expansion and Brand "Going Viral" (2006-2009)


In 2006, the second branch factory (approximately 45,000 square meters) was built in Tangtou, Shishan, significantly expanding production capacity and product lines. In the same year, the "KORRA" yacht made its debut at the Canton Fair, becoming a highly talked-about market event within the industry.


In 2007: The third branch factory (approximately 15,000 square meters, specializing in crystal mosaics, etc.) was built, and with the approval of the Nanhai District Science and Technology Bureau, the "Nanhai Sanitary Ware Project Technology Research and Development Center" was established. At the same time, functional departments such as the testing center were improved. Korra holds multiple positions in industry organizations and has been awarded titles such as "Top Ten Bathroom Brand Enterprises in Foshan", "High-tech Enterprise in Guangdong Province", and "Famous Trademark in Guangdong Province".


In 2008, multiple honors and qualifications from the previous year were carried forward, and the brand's voice and influence were further expanded.


In 2009, "Foshan Korra Sanitary Ware Co., LTD." was registered and passed the BSCI system review. The products obtained certifications such as ACS and SASO. Officially landing at overseas professional exhibitions, such as ISH in Germany and KBIS in the United States, to launch systematic international exhibitions.

 

The period from 2006 to 2009 was regarded as Korra's "brand breakthrough period". On the one hand, the company completed the organizational upgrade of the entire chain from manufacturing to "research - inspection - production - sales". On the other hand, it achieved standardized display and benchmarking of the brand in mature markets in Europe and America through overseas professional exhibitions.

 

3. Organizational Upgrading and Global Business Specialization (2019-2021)


In 2019, "Foshan Gena Import and Export Co., LTD." was registered to further professionalize and platformize the foreign trade export business.


In 2021, "Foshan Gena Sanitary Ware Technology Co., LTD." was registered, establishing a dual-wheel drive positioning of "intelligent manufacturing + technology".


By establishing the entities of "Import and Export Company" and "Technology Company", Korra has achieved a clearer division of legal person and functional responsibilities from trade, research and development, manufacturing to brand operation, which is conducive to compliance connection and project collaboration with global customers.

 

 

4. Entering the New Intelligent Manufacturing Base: Yingyue Lake Intelligent Manufacturing Center (2023 - Present


In 2023, Korra built and put into use the Yingyue Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Center in Guicheng, Nanhai District, Foshan. With a total usable area of 56,000 square meters, it deeply integrates intelligent manufacturing with lean management, significantly enhancing production efficiency and delivery capabilities. The new address is located at No. 2, Nanping East Road, adjacent to the Guangfo transportation Hub (about 15 kilometers from Guangzhou South Railway Station), making it more friendly for overseas customers to visit, inspect the factory and handle distribution and transportation.

 

The Yingyue Intelligent Manufacturing Center carries Korra's second growth curve: under a manufacturing system with higher automation and process traceability, we serve the differentiated demands of different countries and channels with a stable pace and strict process quality control.

 

5.Product matrix and certification system


Core product lines: Shower enclosures/integrated shower enclosures, bathtubs (freestanding/recessed/artificial stone), massage bathtubs, steam rooms, saunas, shower bases, shower panels, bathroom cabinets, etc.

6. R&d and Quality: The closed loop from "laboratory - Testing Center - Mass Production"


Korra has been approved to establish a bathroom project technology research and development center in Nanhai, which is equipped with functions such as an industrial design center, a sample trial production center, a testing center and a chemical laboratory, enabling new products to have a complete chain from design, material selection, verification to mass production. At the same time, with the quality goal of "100% factory qualification and 90% customer satisfaction", process inspection and full-process traceability are introduced
