A comprehensive analysis of Bathroom design

Where is a good location to set up a shower enclosure in the bathroom?

The bathroom has three major functions: the washbasin, the toilet and the shower enclosure. Considering the usage frequency and waterproofing comprehensively, it is advisable to place the shower enclosure at the innermost position! Since the shower enclosure is only used once a day, it is more reasonable to place it on the innermost side of the movement line. If the shower enclosure is placed on the outside, after taking a bath, the floor will be all wet. When you go to the toilet or wash your hands (several times a day), you will have to pass through the wet shower enclosure. This is obviously unreasonable. If the bathroom layout is long and narrow, it is more appropriate to arrange the washbasin, toilet and shower room in sequence from the bathroom entrance.

If the bathroom layout is square, a triangular distribution design can be adopted, with a washbasin on the left, a toilet on the right, and a shower room in the middle corner.

The dry-wet separation method of the shower enclosure:

There are two ways to separate dry and wet areas: shower curtains and glass shower enclosures. Separating dry and wet areas is a must-have design for shower enclosures; otherwise, when taking a bath, the entire bathroom will be splashed with water. When there is enough space, I personally recommend using a glass shower enclosure. It is much more convenient to use than a shower curtain and looks more modern and fashionable. A shower curtain is only considered when the bathroom is too small to accommodate a shower enclosure.

2.Square shower enclosure: It is suitable for large shower enclosures installed near corners. Two pieces of glass are combined with the wall to form a square shower enclosure, with a sharp corner on the outside. Considering that the slippery floor in the bathroom is prone to bumps and knocks, unless the bathroom space is very large, shower enclosures installed in corners usually adopt diamond-shaped and arc-shaped designs.

3.Diamond-shaped shower enclosure: In a small and square bathroom, cutting off a sharp corner of the square shower enclosure turns it into a diamond-shaped shower enclosure. The cut corner can also serve as the door opening position, eliminating the need to open from both sides. Washbasins and toilets can be placed on both sides, achieving two purposes at once.

4.Arc-shaped shower room: The diamond-shaped shower room can only be designed with a swing door. If there is not enough space to make an outward door, it can also be replaced with a shower room of the apartment type, and then a sliding door opening method can be made. 5. Other details to note for the shower enclosure:

What other details should be noted when decorating a shower enclosure? The placement and storage of toiletries: When taking a bath, items such as body wash, shampoo, and facial cleanser are used. When planning a shower room, the placement and storage of these items need to be considered. Try to place them in convenient locations, such as beside the showerhead. If conditions permit, a niche can also be installed.

The drainage slope of floor tiles: When laying floor tiles in the shower room, a slope should be made towards the floor drain to prevent water accumulation on the floor of the shower room. Baby bathtub: If there is a baby at home, a bathtub will be used for bathing the baby. And the bathtub is usually used in the bathroom. Therefore, when planning a shower room, the use of the bathtub should also be appropriately considered. For example, a long floor drain flush with the ground can be used, and the bathtub can be placed across the dry area and the wet area.

The shower enclosure is a space that is used every day. When choosing and designing a shower enclosure for decoration, all aspects such as layout, shape and detailed design should be thoroughly considered!
